How to load your data into an Assessment

The data you bring into an assessment directly shapes the quality of Prudentia's output. This article walks you through the Data Sources tab. Here you'll find your connected data room, manage uploaded files, and review the public data sources included in every assessment.

Navigating to the Data Sources tab

From the assessment landing page, navigate to the top menu and select Data Sources. This is where all data connected to your assessment lives — both the private documents from your data room and the public data sources Prudentia connects to automatically.

Data Room tab

The Data Room tab is where all documents connected to your assessment are sorted and stored. It is organized into a folder structure categorized by domains, giving you a clear view of everything that has been brought into the assessment.

Documents arrive in the Data Room in two ways:

  • Via your connected VDR. When a Virtual Data Room integration is active, documents from the partner's data room will automatically appear here, sorted into the appropriate folders by Prudentia
  • Direct upload. You can also upload your own internal documents directly into any folder. This is useful when you have proprietary research, internal analyses, or other materials beyond what the partner has provided that you want to include in the assessment.

Prudentia will auto-sort uploaded and synced files into the folder structure based on document type. For any files where Prudentia has lower confidence in the folder assignment, you will be notified and asked to place those files manually. Refer to the "Understanding Prudentia's document sorting and classification methodology" Knowledge Base article for additional information.

Note that folder placement matters. The location of a file within the folder structure influences which algorithms are applied to its contents. Take care when manually assigning flagged files to ensure they land in the correct category.

Private tab

The Private tab shows which Virtual Data Room is currently connected to your assessment. When a VDR integration is active, it will appear here. Prudentia can establish a direct integration with your VDR so that documents are pulled in automatically, without manual uploads.

If you don't see a connected VDR or need to set one up, contact your Prudentia Customer Success Manager.

Public tab

The Public tab displays the public data sources that Prudentia connects to automatically for every assessment. These sources are predefined and do not require any setup. They are included in every assessment regardless of the asset or indication.
