Understanding Prudentia's product modules

Prudentia is built around five modules that work together to take a drug asset from initial identification through to a fully informed investment or deal decision. This article describes what each module does, when to use it, and how they connect across a typical workflow

Global Markets

Global Markets is Prudentia's sourcing module, designed to surface emerging investment opportunities across geographies. It draws on Prudentia's proprietary data sources to present a curated list of approved and pre-approved assets, with an initial focus on China.

Use Global Markets at the start of a sourcing initiative, when you're looking to identify new leads in a therapeutic area or expand your view of what is being developed across the Chinese biotech landscape

Prospect

Prospect is Prudentia's rapid assessment module, designed to quickly compress the top of funnel for your Search & Evaluation pipeline. Prospect synthesizes publicly available information on a drug asset that is uploaded into the platform, typically from a non-confidential deck, and produces a standardized Prospect Report covering the company overview, key investment highlights, lead programs, preclinical or clinical data, investment considerations, and market opportunity.

Prospect is built for speed and consistency. Use it when you need to triage a high volume of inbound opportunities, prepare a first-pass view of an asset before a meeting, or create a shareable summary that your team can quickly assess. Leads that merit further investigation can progress from a Prospect into an Assessment.

Assessment (Prism)

Prism is Prudentia's core drug assessment module, designed for deeper diligence once an asset has cleared initial screening. It synthesizes clinical, regulatory, and scientific data, including confidential materials shared through a data room, to produce a structured analysis covering efficacy signals, safety profile, development history, and regulatory status.

Use Prism when a Prospect has progressed and warrants a full scientific review, when progressing through a due diligence process, or whenever you need a rigorous, evidence-backed assessment of an asset's clinical profile.

Valuation & Risk Simulation

The Valuation and Risk Simulation module translates scientific and clinical data into financial and probabilistic terms. You configure inputs - such as Probability of Technical and Regulatory Success (PTRS), cost and cycle time of Phase I, II and III trials, and Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) - and Prudentia generates Net Present Value (NPV) scenarios based on those inputs.

Use this module during commercial diligence, when building the financial case for a deal, or when preparing assumptions for an investment or partnership committee. It's particularly useful for stress-testing deal economics across different development scenarios.

Competitive Landscape

The Competitive Landscape module maps the competitive environment for a given assessment - surfacing approved therapies, standard of care assets, and emerging competitors within the same target population. It draws on continuously updated pipeline data to give your team a current view of where an asset sits relative to the field.

Use this module when assessing differentiation potential of an investment opportunity or monitoring how the competitive picture in a therapeutic area is evolving over time.

How the modules fit together

Teams typically begin with Global Markets to identify leads across geographies, then use Prospect to rapidly assess the most promising assets using publicly available information. Assets that clear that bar advance to a Prism Assessment for deep scientific assessment and eventually, due-diligence. Competitive Landscape contextualizes an asset's market positioning, and Valuation and Risk Simulation sizes the opportunity. Each module can also be run independently or revisited as a deal progresses.
